The Seventh Annual Lee Memorial Foundation Golf Outing raised a record-breaking $18,300 to help the hospital fund the purchase of three Holter monitors, as well as a spirometer, wound vac and dietary grill.

“This equipment helps us further enhance patient care,” said Karen Judd, chair, Lee Memorial Foundation Board of Trustees. “We are once again very grateful to all of this year’s golf participants, along with the numerous businesses and individuals who sponsored the event, contributed prizes and made donations.”

A total of 38 golf teams (another new record) and 56 sponsors participated in the 2011 outing held July 15.

In addition to sponsorship support, the day was a big success due to the time and talents of volunteers, committee members, and the staff of Spruce Ridge Golf Club. “We sincerely thank the staff of Spruce Ridge, as well as the St. Denys Foundation, our major sponsor, and Preferred Printing, our $10,000 hole-in-one sponsor,” Judd added. “Because of their continued dedication and generosity, everyone enjoyed a beautiful day of golfing and supported one of our community’s most-valuable assets: Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital. We expect next year’s golf outing to be even bigger, so keep us in mind and register early.”
