Mollie’s life began on Aug,18, 1908, in Volhynia, Russia, the daughter of Julius and Theresa (Janke) Behnke.

She was united in marriage to Melbourn “Bud” Eiman in December of 1931 in Indiana.

She was employed by James Heddon’s Sons for more than 30 years.

She was a member of the INA Unity Club in Glenwood, the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, where she helped with many bereavement dinners and she was the last surviving charter member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Mollie’s loving family includes her daughters Barbara Luthringer of Dowagiac and Jerrie Cooke of Palatine, Ill., grandchildren Jerry (Debbie) Luthringer of Dowagiac, John (Shauna) Luthringer of Lakeville, Ill., Kim (Steve) Gross of Philadelphia, Pa., Joe (Cathy) Luthringer of Cassopolis, Judy (friend Todd) Mroczek of Scotts, Debbie (Tom) Drieling of Barrington, Ill., Jan (Dave) Nichols of Kalamazoo and Mike (Diane) Williams of Kilder, Ill.; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Janiece Behnke of Dowagiac.

Mollie, 101, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at The Timbers of Cass County.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bud in 1975, brothers Emile, Reinhart, Albert “Hook” and Bill Behnke and sisters Lydia Gasel, Mary Morrison, Wanda Keigley and Martha Mitchell, and sons-in- law, John Luthringer and James Williams.

Mollie’s family will gather with friends on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel.

Her funeral service will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church led by Pastor Jeffrey Weber.

She will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery following services.
