Howard wins third state title

The Howard Township 9-year-old All-Stars captured the Michigan Cal Ripken state championship last weekend at Firemen’s Park.

Howard defeated Clinton Valley 30-0 and 20-1 to advance to the championship game. In the title match, the All-Stars knocked off L’Anse Creuse 14-0.

Howard Township advances to the Ohio Valley Regional later this summer where it will take on teams from Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, West Virginia and Kentucky.
