ST. JOSEPH – Niles’ Pennie Butterworth was third overall in the 5K walk at the Venetian River Run and Walk Saturday morning.

Stevensville’s Nada Kramp was the overall winner with a time of 34:36. Butterworth posted a time of 38:36. In the men’s 5K walk, Ed Zimmerman of Grand Haven was the overall winner with a time of 39:09.

Kyle Richardson of Paw Paw was the 5K run men’s winner with a time of 16:40. Rachel Bendewald of St. Joseph was the women’s winner with a clocking of 21:35.

Justin Kowalski of Mishawaka, Ind. won the men’s 10K run with a time of 33:26. Audrey Schlutt of Berrien Springs won the women’s 10K with a time of 39:14.

Niles’ Rob Wentz won the men’s 5K 35-29 Division with a time of 20:25, while Niles’ Brenda Wiseman won the women’s 55-59 Division with a time of 25:29.

Niles’ Carl Deland won the men’s 10K 40-44 Division as he crossed the finish line with a time of 38:52. Robert Conway of Niles captured the men’s 10K 65 and older Division title with a time of 55:46.
