Recently members of the public came out to the Niles Community School Grounds to enjoy the Niles Fireworks display. This event took place on Sunday July 3rd and a perfect evening with perfect weather. Ron Sather, President/CEO of The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce said this was the 26th year the Chamber and its’ Members have sponsored the event. It was estimated that more than 6,000 people attended the event and some came from nearby cities and arrived early to enjoy the show. We want to thank everyone who donated at the gates, without these donations, the fireworks would not be possible.
According to Sather, putting on a fireworks show each year is a “team effort”! The Chamber is grateful to the 161 area business and organizations that joined together to make this years’ show possible. The Chamber is also appreciative of the support given by the Niles Community Schools, the Niles Police Department and the Niles Fire Department. Also a thank you to the Niles Noon Optimist Club, Berrien County Civitan Club, Niles Buchanan Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club of Niles, Joy’s Johns, Michiana Recycling, The Brandywine Wrestling Team and Coach, Leader Publications and The South Bend Tribune.
Finally a special thanks to our 45 volunteers who directed traffic and collected gate donations.
They did a fantastic job and our hats off to all of these folks.
See you at next years’ 236th birthday celebration!
