The Niles 13-14 All-Stars advanced to the Michigan Little District 15 semifinals with a 9-1 win over Mattawan on Wednesday.

Niles will face either Schoolcraft or Constantine at 1 p.m. at Swan Park in Schoolcraft.

Against Mattawan, Niles got a double and a single from Dyllon Houck and two hits from Jason Hoida. Also collecting hits for the All-Stars were Warren Smith, Austin Lintz, Noah Hall, Tyler Phillips and Zach Plummer.

Niles got solid pitching and strong defense, including a pair of tough catches from Smith in centerfield and a key inning-ending double play.
