Ola Lee Gardner, 94, of Bame Avenue, Niles, died at 1:01 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles following a brief illness.

She was born March 23, 1917 in Bear Creek, Ala. to George Goddard and Lucy (Bull) Goddard. She grew up in Alabama and moved to Niles in the 1940s.

Ola was a Baptist. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.

She was formerly married to Oscar Gardner.

She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine “Geri” (Jim) Cole of Niles; sons, James Edwin (Ruth) Gardner of Allegan, Mich. and Roger Dale Gardner of Bigelow, Ark.; grandchildren, Michael James Cole, Brenda Gardner, Teresa Gardner, Joshua Gardner, Tony Gardner and Jess Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles with the Rev. Randy Pearman of Bethel Baptist Church officiating.

There will be no visitation.
