EAST LANSING — Michigan State football season tickets are now on sale at www.msuspartans.com.

The overall pricing structure for football season-ticket holders remains the same for the third year in a row.

Season tickets are priced at $308 for the general public ($44 per game), $252 for faculty/staff ($36 per game; limit of two seats), $231 for Family Plan ($33 per person; end zone seating with minimum of four seats), $175 for recent graduates ($25 per game; limit of two seats) and $136 for MSU undergraduate students (less than $20 per game).

Fifth-year Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio and his team will tackle a demanding seven-game home schedule in 2011, including non-conference games against Youngstown State (Sept. 2), Florida Atlantic (Sept. 10) and Central Michigan (Sept. 24), plus Big Ten contests against Michigan (Oct. 15), Wisconsin (Oct. 22/Homecoming), Minnesota (Nov. 5) and Indiana (Nov. 19).

Dantonio welcomes back 15 starters from last year’s Big Ten Championship team that won a school-record 11 games and finished No. 14 in the final Associated Press and USA TODAY Polls. In 2010, Michigan State completed its first-ever 7-0 home season and its first undefeated home season since going 6-0 in 1999.

“After winning a share of the Big Ten title last year, expectations are high for the upcoming 2011 season,” MSU Athletics Director Mark Hollis said. “Michigan State is listed in numerous early Preseason Top 25 Polls, so we’re optimistic that season-ticket sales will exceed 60,000 for the sixth time in school history.

“For those that peek ahead to a 2012 home schedule that features Boise State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Iowa and Nebraska, we believe the timing is right to cultivate many new season-ticket holders.”

Michigan State has ranked among the NCAA’s Top 25 in football attendance each of the last 55 years, including No. 19 in 2010, averaging 73,556 fans per game.

The Spartans ranked No. 17 in the NCAA in total attendance, as 514,894 fans went through the turnstiles for seven home games in 2010.
