MHSAA/FoxSports Detroit broadcasting semifinals/finals

EAST LANSING — The Michigan High School Athletic Association will provide live and on demand audio and video of the baseball and softball finals this weekend in Battle Creek via the MHSAA.tv, FoxSportsDetroit.com and MHSAANetwork.com websites.

For the first time, there will be audio coverage of the semifinals and finals of the tournament at MHSAANetwork.com.  Here’s Friday’s semifinal schedule:

Baseball

Division 1

Temperance Bedford vs. Sterling Heights Stevenson  – Morrison Field – 3 p.m.

Portage Central vs. Rockford – C.O. Brown Stadium – 2 p.m.

Division 2

St. Clair vs. Richland Gull Lake – C.O. Brown Stadium – 5 p.m.

Grand Rapids Christian vs. Mt. Pleasant – Nichols Field – 4 p.m.

Division 3

Shepherd vs. Bridgman – C.O. Brown Stadium – 11 a.m.

Muskegon Oakridge vs. Madison Heights Bishop Foley – Nichols Field – 10 a.m.

Division 4

Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett Liggett vs. Beal City – Nichols Field – 1 p.m.

Merrill vs. Frankfort – Morrison Field – Noon

Softball

Division 1

Southgate Anderson vs. Anchor Bay  – Diamond 1 – 6 p.m.

Mattawan vs. Bay City Western – Diamond 3 – 6:30 p.m.

Division 2

Livonia Ladywood vs. Stevensville Lakeshore – Diamond 1 – 3:30 p.m.

Milan vs. Saginaw Swan Valley  – Diamond 3 – 4 p.m.

Division 3

Frankenmuth vs. Centreville – Diamond 1 – 1 p.m.

Gladstone vs. Clinton – Diamond 3 – 1:30 p.m.

Division 4

Petersburg-Summerfield  vs.  Breckenridge – Diamond 1 – 10:30 a.m.

Unionville-Sebewaing vs. Rapid River – Diamond 3 – 11 a.m.

Coverage of the finals begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.  Here’s the complete schedule:

Baseball

9:30 a.m. – Division 3 Final

12:30 p.m. – Division 4 Final

3:30 p.m. – Division 1 Final

6:30 p.m. – Division 2 Final

Softball

10 a.m. – Division 4 Final

12:30 p.m. – Division 3 Final

3 p.m. – Division 2 Final

5:30 p.m. – Division 1 Final

Spectators attending the games at Bailey Park in Battle Creek are advised that they may not bring coolers or food and beverages of any type into C.O. Brown Stadium, Nichols Field, Morrison Field and the Flannery Softball Complex.

Tickets are priced at $7 each day for each sport.

An all-tournament ticket is available for $15, which allows the bearer to watch games in both sports both days.
