Memorial Day observance begins at City Hall at 10:30

The Masons of Dowagiac proudly announce that Command Sgt. Maj. Richard Matthews will be the featured speaker at the annual Memorial Day ceremonies Monday.

Matthews, an Eau Claire resident, has 37 years of military servivce, over six years in the Marine Corps and the reaminder in the Army National Guard.

Among his many decorations and awards are the Bronze Star and Afghanistan Campaign Ribbon awarded for his service in Afghanistan.

Dowagiac’s observance of Memorial Day will be on Monday morning, May 30.

Opening ceremonies begin at 10:30 at City Hall with the parade following at 11.
