ST. JOSEPH — Southwest Michigan’s very own professional basketball team, the Lake Michigan Admirals, announced today that they will be having tryouts at Michigan Lutheran High School on July 16, Aug. 6, Sept. 10 and Oct, 22.

Tryouts will run from 9 a.m. until noon for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

The registration fee is $100 (early registration), $125 (on-siteregistration). Fee can be made in the form of cash, check, or money order.

Players must be 18 years of age or older. Photo I.D. will be required. A limited number of spectators will be allowed to view the tryouts.

This tryout will simulate a NBA combine. There will be measurements of wing span, height, vertical reach, and vertical jump. Also there will be an agility test and timed 3/4 court sprint.

“Last year we won our division and now we need to defend our championship.  We are looking for 10 professional players that have the will to win,” stated General Manager Chris Glisson.
