OTSEGO — Sarah Britain of Otsego and Kelsie Primley of Dowagiac each scored two goals Wednesday night, but it took a shootout to decide the Wolverine Conference match between the Chieftains and the Bulldogs.

Otsego took the victory in the shootout.

“Despite not having two starters in the whole game, we played a really good game of soccer,” Dowagiac coach Mike Williams said. “The girls did a great job winning balls and counterattacking. We were a little unlucky on shots as our balls were banging the posts. We are looking good going into districts.”

Britain scored in the 29th minute of the first half and the 58th minute of the second half to force the 2-2 deadlock at the end of regulation.

Primley scored in the 34th minute to tie the score at 1-1 and then gave Dowagiac a 2-1 advantage in the 46th minute.

Bre Williams and Lauren Krueger had the assists for the Chieftains.
