Glenna K. “Mickey” Burnett, 79, of College Street in Niles, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at her home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Burnett was born Oct. 21, 1931 in Niles to Glenn Austin and Catherine Mary (Radkey) DePoy. Glenna was a lifetime resident of Niles.
She attended St. Mark Catholic Church in Niles. She enjoyed traveling and going to casinos. Glenna was the lead singer in her husband’s band, the Aristo-Cats. She enjoyed life on Diamond Lake, especially slalom skiing.
On Sept. 12, 1950 in Niles, she married Gordon E. Burnett, who preceded her in death Oct. 9, 1993.
Mickey is survived by their children, Linda (William) Carter and John (Gail) Burnett, both of Niles; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Anita Weller, Marilyn Bays and Robert DePoy; and companion, Otto Lee Dunnuck, all of Niles.
Glenna was also preceded in death by her sisters, Eloise Frucci and Gladys Johnson.
Funeral services for Glenna K. Burnett will be Monday, May 16 at 2 p.m. at Mission Hills Cemetery for family and friends.
