The Dowagiac JV golf team defeated Lakeshore 192-197 on Wednesday to improve to 8-0 on the season.

Anthony Nelson led the Chieftains with a 47.

Dowagiac also got a pair of 48s from Christian Hess and Andrew Wild. Paul Lamphere shot 49, Gaige Grant 51 and Ross Tidey 53.

The Chieftains will compete in the Wolverine Conference Jamboree on Thursday at Pineview in Three Rivers.
