Edwardsburg runs away with Lakeland jamboree

NILES — Monday afternoon’s Lakeland Conference Jamboree at Orchard Hills was no contest.

Defending champion Edwardsburg completely dominated the event, winning by a whooping 31 strokes over runner-up Bridgman.

The Eddies shot 164, while Bridgman shot 195. Cassopolis also shot 195, but the Bees earned the spot in the standings by the fifth man tiebreaker.

Coloma was fourth with a 213, host Buchanan fifth with a 215, Brandywine sixth with a 219 and Berrien Springs seventh with a 230.

The Eddies’ Pierce Bourgeois earned medalist honors after shooting 40.

Edwardsburg also got a pair of 41s from Chris Eaton and Dominic Razzano.

Austin Tevlin shot 42, Max Habicht 45 and Brody Baucus 48.

Brent Brown led Buchanan with a 47, while Zack Rose shot 49 for the Bobcats.
