BATTLE CREEK — The Niles golf team finished 11th out of 22 teams at the Gull Lake Blue Devil Invitational on Thursday at Bedford Hills.

The Vikings shot 342, as did St. Joseph, which finished 10th.

Battle Creek Lakeview won the championship with a 308. Gull Lake No. 1 finished second at 321, while Battle Creek Harper Creek was third with a 326, Mattawan fourth with a 332 and Battle Creek Harper Creek B fifth with a 334.

Lakeview’s Corey Roberts earn medalist honors with a 72. Niles’ Chris Noble earned an individual medal for finishing 10th with a score of 79.

The Vikings also got an 87 from Brett Phillips and Jared Langemeyer, an 89 from John Schrader, and a 98 from Dominic Wyland.

Niles will play in the first of two days of competition in the Big 16 Conference Tournament on Monday at Island Hills.
