Edwardsburg wins fourth straight jamboree

EDWARDSBURG – Make it four straight.

The Edwardsburg golf team won its fourth consecutive Lakeland Conference Jamboree as it held serve on its home course – Four Lakes Country Club.

The Eddies had bested the field by double digit strokes the first three times out and Tuesday afternoon as no different. Edwardsburg shot 161, while runner-up Bridgman was 19 strokes back at 180. Cassopolis was third with a 190, Coloma fourth with a 191, Buchanan fifth with a 203, Brandywine sixth with a 207 and Berrien Springs last with a 213.

Defending league medalist Chris Eaton shot 34 to grab the honor on Tuesday.

Max Habicht shot 40 for the Eddies, who also got a 42 from Dominic Razzano, a pair of 45s from Brody Baucus and Pierce Borgeiois and a 47 from Austin Tevlin.

Cassopolis was led by Blaise Suseland’s 45. Derek Blank shot 44 to lead the Bucks, while Zach Rose also shot 44 to pace the Bobcats.
