DeAnn  Kaiser Haygood, 47, passed away unexpectedly in her home April 15, 2011.

She was born in Niles on June 10, 1963. She was the eldest twin daughter of Donald R. and Betty J. Kaiser.

DeAnn Lived in Niles most of her life and attended Niles High school. She was currently living in Portage, Mich. She spent many years working as a manager for several Papa John’s restaurants until health issues led to her retirement.

DeAnn had a heart of gold and really enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Family was Important to her and she stayed in Portage to be near her children. She especially loved spending time with her two granddaughters. They were her greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Gene (Becky) Kaiser of South Bend; her twin sister Donna Kaiser Rider of Goshen, Ind.; her daughter, Jessica (Brandon) Hilts; and her son, Patrick Haygood, both from Kalamazoo; her two beloved grandchildren, Allison Shane Hilts and Cadence Olivia Hilts; and two nieces, Stephanie and Christina Rider of Goshen.

In accordance with DeAnn’s wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes taken to a specific location.

No funeral services will be held.

A memorial service is being planned for May.
