The Edwardsburg baseball team dropped its season opener to St. Joseph March 30.

The Bears won the opening game 6-4 and then blanked the Eddies 8-0 in five innings. The second game was stopped due to darkness.

Evan Zimmerman hit a home run for Edwardsburg, which finished with eight hits. Caleb Dill and Zayne Guernsey each had two hits.

Ethan Moreno took the loss.

In the second game, Zimmerman suffered the loss. The Eddies had just four hits in the contest.
