BANGOR — The Niles soccer team opened up the 2011 season with a 5-0 victory over host Bangor Monday night.

The Vikings got a pair of goals from Katrina Gard, which were assisted by Alexis Arnold and Mckayla Book.

Book also scored a goal with an assist from Abigail Gaines.

Kayte Miller scored an unassisted goal for Niles, while Taylor Hess recorded the final goal with an assist from Miller.

The Vikings are back in action Thursday afternoon as they travel to Edwardsburg.
