Niles tennis team second at St. Joe

ST. JOSEPH — The Niles tennis team finished second at the South Shore High Invitational on Friday.

St. Joseph won the team championship with 16 points, while Niles was second with six points and Bridgman third with two.

The tournament was held at the South Shore Racquet Club.

The Bears swept both the singles and doubles flight championships to claim the team title.

Niles earned second place finishes in all four singles flights and two of the doubles flights.

The Vikings return to action today as they take on cross-town rival Brandywine at Plym Park. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
