To the editor:
In the last few months, First Ward Councilman Junior Oliver has written a letter giving us a play-by-play of the State of the Union address and now how the USA must stay competitive.
Mr. Oliver, although your letters are very interesting to read, I think the residents of Dowagiac would like to know your thoughts on what is going on right here in Dowagiac.
Mr. Oliver, tell us why you voted yes to extend the $150,000 contract of our city manager, who has recently been accused of violating some women’s civil rights in Sough Haven.
Mr. Oliver, when you were appointed you told residents of the First Ward that the city needs to change.
What are your thoughts on our high electric rate?
What have you done to bring jobs to the city?
With summer break coming soon, what have you done to help the youth of Dowagiac?
Mr. Oliver, although residents are interested in your views on national politics, how about sharing your thoughts on what you personally have done in local politics to make a difference for the residents of First Ward.
