Dear editor,

We would like to thank the following departments and people for their support of the Polar Plunge that was held on Feb. 12 in Edwardsburg on Pleasant Lake.

The Edwardsburg Fire Department, Edwardsburg Ambulance Service, Cass County Sheriff’s Department Marine Division Dive Team, Mike and Kathy Keagle of the former Chameleon Experience, Cool Springs Campground, Cathy Hartzel and Bill Haskins.

With their support, we were able to raise more than $5,200 for Special Olympics in Michigan in our first plunge.

We had 17 “plungers,” the youngest was 8 years old and the oldest was 66.

Once again, thank you, you guys did yourselves proud.
