Brandywine routs Bridgman 48-15

BRIDGMAN – The beat goes on for the Brandywine girls’ basketball team as it won its 14th game of the season and its ninth in the Lakeland Conference.
The Bobcats (14-1, 9-0 Lakeland) didn’t allow host Bridgman to reach double figures until the final quarter in a 48-15 rout of the Bees.
Brandywine led 15-3 after one quarter and 26-5 at halftime. Bridgman (6-9, 0-8 Lakeland) trailed the Bobcats 42-7 heading into the final frame.
Carlie Newman led a balanced Brandywine attack with 12 points. The Bobcats also got 10 points from Kelsey Prestly, Morgan Smallwood and Lauren Leonard.
Taylor Tuszynski had seven points to lead Bridgman.
