John C. Clark, Sr., 69, of Niles, died in the morning of Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at his home of natural causes.
He was born Feb. 1, 1941 in Danville, Ill. He was a lifetime area resident.
John was a general contractor, builder and electrician. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, Buchanan, where he was a past master, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, and he was also a Shriner.
John married Wanda Lee “Sybil” Clark in the summer of 1959 in Niles. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2010.
He was also preceded in death by his father, Amil Clark; two sons, John C. Clark, Jr. and Scottie Clark; and a daughter, Dottie Clark.
He is survived by a son, Jay C. Clark; his mother, Dorothy Clark; brothers, Daniel and Robert Clark; a sister, Sandra Balltosser; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Clark.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2011 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan.
Burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at the funeral home.
