Brandywine bowling team gets sweep

The Brandywine boys’ bowling team defeated both Allegan and South Haven on Saturday at Joey Armidillo’s.

The Bobcats took 22 out of a possible 30 points against South Haven, while they took 16 out of 30 against Allegan.

Earlier in the season, Brandywine took 15 points against Benton Harbor, 28 points against South Haven, 13 points against Coloma, 29 points against Allegan and 16 points against Benton Harbor.

Aaron Marquart is currently 11-2 on the season, while Ben Shaffer is 11-3. Zach Rose is 8-5 with Charles Kuemin a game over .500 at 6-5. Nathan Balint’s record is now 7-7.

Rose leads the Bobcats with an average of 201. Aaron Marquardt is averaging 200 on the season.

The Brandywine girls’ bowling team did not fare as well on Saturday as it managed just one point against Coloma and 13 points against South Haven.

Emilia Kuemin, Hayley Cameron and Josie Dierckx all have five wins to lead the squad.

Cameron leads the Bobcats with her average of 164, while Allison Harris is averaging 127.
