Jeffrey Ervin “Pops” Lykins, 51, of Cynthiana, Kent., formerly of Cassopolis, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011.

He was born Jan. 20, 1959 in Dowagiac to Darrell and Martha (Milner) Lykins.

Jeffrey was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to shoot pool and played a guitar in a band.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Marvin Lykins.

He is survived by his companion, Kathleen Wedding; one daughter, Tracey (Rodney Williams) Lykins of Cassopolis; two sons, Brandon (Crystal Scott) Lykins of Cynthiana, Kent. and Kristofer (Adam Wiltfang) Lykins of Valparaiso, Ind.; two brothers, Rodger (Nancy Jo) Lykins of Corryton, Tenn. and Melvin Lykins of South Bend; three sisters, Yvonne (Leonard) Kern of Cassopolis, Valeria (Rogers Wagers) Lykins of Elkhart, Ind. and Ramona Lykins of Corryton, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Reese Williams and Nathan Lykins.

No service was held.

The family prefers memorial contributions to Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter, 1751 New Lair Rd., Cynthiana, KY 41031.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
