Timothy Lee Colcord, 53, of North State Street in Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles Monday, Jan. 3, 2011.

Tim was born Jan. 2, 1958 in Niles to Jack and Shirley Colcord. He was one of five children in the Colcord household.

Tim enjoyed fishing and staying at the family cabin up north. He owned Tim’s Auto Body in South Bend for many years and loved meeting new people and socializing. Tim was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles and an avid Chicago Bears and Notre Dame fan.

Tim is preceded in death by his father, Jack Colcord; stepfather, Charles Joanis; and sister, Kathy Kozlowski.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Joanis of Niles; children, Cory (Dana) Colcord of Chicago, Brandon Colcord of Clearwater, Fla., Justine Adams of Indianapolis; grandson, Dominick Colcord; and siblings, Pam (Chris) Thomas of Niles, Michael Colcord of Elkhart and Lorrie (Jeff) Hullinger of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be holding a memorial luncheon at the FOP in Niles at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011.
