Several events scheduled for New Year’s Eve

Still recovering from Christmas and don’t have plans for New Year’s Eve? There are plenty of options to ring in the New Year in southwest Michigan.

• Dowagiac Middle School Performing Arts Center, Dowagiac: New Year’s Eve Sobriety Concert, featuring actress Irene Bedard, musician Bill Miller and comedian Don Burnstick. Doors open at 8 p.m. with the show running from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. For more information, call (269) 462-4296.

• Swiss Valley, Jones: Two sessions of skiing on New Year’s Eve. The second session from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. includes free lessons, your choice of two parties and a torch-lit parade at midnight. Call (269) 244-5635 for more information.

• Niles Elks Club: Tickets include choice of entree (prime rib, baked talapia or stuffed chicken breast), a champagne toast, hors d’oeuvres, party favors and live music and dancing, featuring Zane’s Way. Make reservations by calling (269) 683-0133.

• Riverfront Cafe, Niles: New Year’s Eve Party, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Marty Mondo Audio Show with special guest Anna Campbell. Special menu begins at 5 p.m. Late night menu available from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.

• Community Evangelical Free Church, Niles: New Year’s Eve Family Night, 6 p.m.

• Acorn Theater, Three Oaks: Ring in the New Year with the musical comedy “Super Happy Funtime Burlesque.” Show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10.
