Virginia Dell Clark, 81, of North Seventh Street, Niles, died at 4:27 am. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at Riveridge Manor, Niles following an extended illness.

She was born May 31, 1929 in Linton, Ind. to Grant Ulysses Lawson and Anna Miller. She moved to Niles from Jasonville, Ind. in 1945.

Virginia retired in 1992 after 17 years of employment with the former Pawating Hospital in Niles. Mrs. Clark was a charter member of the Apostolic Christian Tabernacle and the Niles Senior Center.

She is survived by a circle of friends, including Sherry Pollock of Niles.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Lawson, two half-brothers and a a half-sister.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 at Apostolic Christian Tabernacle in Niles with Pastor Trent Avance of the church officiating.

There will be no visitation.
