Isabel Julian, 87, of Ferry Street in Niles, passed away on Friday, Dec. 24, 2010 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles, following a brief illness.

She was born on May 29, 1923 in Decatur, to the late Dewey H. and Jessie (Osborne) Zerbe.

On Dec. 5, 1941, she married the late Dean F. Julian at a ceremony in Dowagiac. He preceded her in death in 1988.

A homemaker most of her life, she was a Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed baking at Christmastime and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Dewey, Clarence, and Tom Zerbe.

She is survived by a son Douglas (Diana) Julian of Peru, Ill., three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sisters Alice De Palmea and Ruth Baron.

Funeral services will be held today at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51 in Niles at 1:00 p.m. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
