ST. JOSEPH — Visiting Edwardsburg was no match for St. Joseph Tuesday night in girls’ basketball action.

The Eddies were outscored 16-8 in the opening quarter and they were unable to catch the Bears, trailing 33-23 at halftime and 59-45 heading into the final quarter.

Rachel Vite had 20 points for Edwardsburg, which also got 17 points from Emily Kozinski and seven points from Mariah Murphy.

Katie Mavis scored a game-high 23 points to lead St. Joseph. Erika and LeAnne Priebe finished with 15 and 14 points respectively.

ST. JOSEPH — Freshman Tammy Lee tossed in 13 points to help lead visiting Cassopolis to a 48-34 non-conference victory over Lake Michigan Catholic Tuesday night.

The Rangers also got 10 poitns from Reese Ellison and nine points from Savannah Sullivan and Lela Broussard.

Laura Sifrig led the Lakers with 14 points.
