Dear editor:

As my final term in the Michigan Legislature comes to an end, I wanted to thank the people of the 21st Senate District for allowing me to represent them for the last eight years. It also has been my honor to represent the citizens of the 28th House of Representatives District for the six years prior to serving in the Senate.

During those years, 100 bills that I originated were signed into law. Those bills addressed education, agriculture, budgets, property rights, commerce and more. Some have been minor and some have been very important, and I hope they have always been beneficial to the citizenry of Michigan.

It has been a pleasure to serve and as I leave office, I leave your representation in good hands with your new senator, John Proos. Please support him as you have me.

I hope I have represented you all well and thank you for the opportunity.

Sincerely,

Senate Appropriations Chair Ron Jelinek

21st Senate District
