Dear editor:

Recently, our family lost our mother, Ethel Peters. Many kind people, who we would like to acknowledge, helped us during this difficult time.

We thank the staff of Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Wing A2. The nurses and staff were most helpful and supportive not only to our mother but to our entire family. We appreciate their kindness.

Through their professional care and compassionate actions, Hospice of Niles provided the needed guidance and emotional support to our family. They took us step by step, treating our mother with the utmost dignity and respect along the way. Their personal involvement was heartfelt.

Losing a parent is always heart-wrenching, but there are those who made this process less painful. We wish to thank our mother’s church family at Hope Community Church for their many kindnesses. The Rev. Michael Smith and the Rev. Alan Poage honored our mother with a beautiful service, and the Women of Hope provided a lovely luncheon. We also appreciate Halbritter Funeral Home for its expertise.

Thank you to each of you who loved our mother. Your cards, hugs and sharing of memories will always be valued and remembered.
