Cariel Iona Keller, 87, of Buchanan, died at 8:43 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital in Berrien Center of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 1, 1923 in Lincoln, Neb. She lived in this area 70 years.

Cariel worked at Clark Equipment Co. in the tool room. She was a life member of Buchanan Women of the Moose Lodge and also the American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Ivan Keller on June 14, 1963 in Buchanan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; parents, Earl and Clara Shaw; a son, Robert Yoeman; and two brothers, Lee Shaw and Lawrence Shaw.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Sue) Dietz of Florida; daughters, Beverly (Travis “Bud”) Gray of Buchanan and Deborah Yoeman of Buchanan; six grandchildren, Mike (Amy) Gray, Tim Gray, Kimi Gentry, Kari Sukich, Tara Dietz and Stephen Devriese; six great-grandchildren, Trevor and Wyatt Gray, Ashton Kennedy, Blair Balog and Tanner and Dominick Geishirt; sister-in-law, Pearl Shaw of Lincoln, Neb; and four nieces.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan.

Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan.
