Fire destroys mobile home

Fire destroyed this mobile home Sunday night in the 200 block of S. Paul Street. The Dowagiac Fire Department was called to the scene at 11:47 p.m. and found the structure fully involved. The blaze was brought under control about 12:15 a.m. (The Daily News/Scott Novak)

Dowagiac Fire Department reports responding late Sunday, Nov. 28, to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of S. Paul Street.

The alarm was received at 11:43 p.m. The first unit arrived on scene at 11:47. Upon arrival, responding fire units found the structure fully involved with fire.

Firefighters were unable to gain access immediately to the structure due to the extensive flame spread and lack of structural integrity. The fire was brought under control at approximately 12:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29.

There was no one at home during the time of the fire.

There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident. Cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday. Dowagiac fire units cleared the scene at 3:08 a.m. of what was the 140th incident for this year.
