Wilbur S. Lewark, 62, of East Main Street, Niles, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 at his home following an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 17, 1947 in Medaryville, Ind. to Leslie Starr Lewark, Sr. and Leona Mae (Archer) Lewark. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School and lived in this area most of his life.

He was employed for 11 years at Buchanan Industries. He was also previously employed at Best Plastics in Edwardsburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking outdoors and playing pool. He was a member of the American Pool Association.

He married Joanne Geneva (Paige) Lewark on Sept. 21, 1968 in Niles.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughters, Jodie (Paul) Kennedy of Niles and Katrina (Archie) Fee of Niles; sons, Curtis Lewark of Niles and Michael (Angel) Lewark of Niles; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Dwight Charles of Idaville, Ind., Kenneth Joe Lewark of Madaryville, Ind., Robert Lewark of Francesville, Ind. and Bruce Edward Lewark of Monticello, Ind.; sister, Mary Louise Pfledderer of Francesville, Ind.

He was preceded in death by a son, Billie Joe Lewark, in March 1973; a sister, Norma Jean Bailey; and two brothers, Leslie Starr Lewark, Jr. and William Lewark.

Services will be held in Medaryville, Ind.

There will be no local visitation.
