Ring Lardner basketball teams sweep Coloma

The Niles Ring Ladner eightth grade boys’ basketball team raced out to a 8-0 lead in the first 90 seconds of action Friday night at Coloma and never looked back en route to a 52-27 victory.

Dalton Raymond set the defensive tone and Gabe Stokes knocked down two early three-pointers on his way to a team-high 19 points. Sean Craig and Adam Langmeyer were both unselfish with the ball, along with the rest of the Vikings, which led to nine different Viking players scoring.

Raquon Glenn had 16 points and an assist to Sam Rodts for three points. Other scorers for Niles were David Kennedy with four points, Alex Bata with three points, while Michael Martin, Daquon Voight and Jalen Alexander each had two points and Dalton Raymond had one point.

 

Seventh grade basketball

The Ring Lardner seventh grade boys’ basketball team defeated host Coloma 37-18 Friday night.

Leading Niles defensively was Derek Brown with four steals. Gavin Rasler led the team with 11 points, while Joe Avance added 10 and Dyllon Houck chipped in with four points.
