To the editor:

I would like to thank the voters of Berrien and Cass counties for re-electing me to a second term in the Michigan House of Representatives serving the residents of the 78th House District.

I am grateful that we gave voters a clean, issue-oriented campaign.

I want to especially thank my supporters for putting signs in their yards, for writing letters of support, for Allan and the volunteers at the Niles Fix Michigan Center and for the words of encouragement and enthusiasm.

During the past two years, I have seen up close and personal the problems residents face every day.

Through holding office hours, going door to door and responding to the needs of my district, I have listened and learned what people want from their government.

Right now, what they really want and need is jobs.

Job retention and creation has always been the focus of my job, before and during my tenure in Lansing.

Election Day is only the beginning. The real victory will be when the Granholm administration’s eight years of big government, big spending and deaf ear policies are reversed.

Over the next two years I will continue working hard to restore jobs, common sense and fiscal sanity to the State of Michigan.

Warm regards, sincerest thanks and God Bless!

Sharon Tyler
