To the editor:

Republicans under George W. Bush took this country to the brink of economic collapse.

Republicans for the past two years have obstructed and voted NO and they will continue to obstruct and vote NO for the next two years.

They have abdicated their responsibility to govern.

Radical Republicans want to do away with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, minimum wage, voting rights, civil rights and public education.

This ship of state is starting to inch forward, and we must keep it moving.

Vote DEMOCRAT on Tuesday — our future depends on it.
