The election Tuesday is estimated to draw 3.8 million Michigan voters to the poll, according to Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land. That number would account for 52 percent of Michigan’s registered voters.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Voters are asked to present a photo I.D. at the polls. Anyone who does not have an acceptable form of I.D. or failed to bring it with them can still vote. They will sign a brief affidavit stating they’re not in possession of a photo I.D.
