DONALDSON, Ind. — The Ancilla College volleyball team finished its season with a 25-21, 25-16, 25-21 loss to NJCAA No. 7 and Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) Western Conference Champion Grand Rapids Community College (26-2, 13-1 MCCAA).

“The girls played well against a strong Grand Rapids team,” Ancilla coach Lana Singleton said. “They never gave up tonight and played well together.”

Brandy Sechrist finished the season with a team high 213 kills and led the team with seven kills against the visiting Raiders. Demi Schrader (Niles) led the team in assists for the match (13) and the season (832) and was co-leader in digs in the match with nine. Danielle Burge also added nine digs and bumped her team high dig total for the season to 484.

Ancilla finishes their season with a 12-24 overall record, matching their combined win totals for 2008 (7) and 2009 (5). In MCCAA West play, they finish the season at 0-14.
