Susie Linn, 70, of Phoenix Street in Niles, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 at her home following an extended illness.

She was born May 31, 1940 in Paducah, Ky. to Fred Allen Stewart and Mary Louise (Cook) Stewart. She moved from Kentucky to Niles in 1959.

She retired in 2002 after 20 years of service at Packard Industries in Niles. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 449 in Buchanan. Susie served on the Plym Park Gold Board and won the city golf tournament five times.

She married Frank “Bud” Linn on June 18, 1960 in Niles.

Susie is survived by her husband, Frank; daughter, Tami A. (Verlin) Williams of Niles; granddaughters, Mandi Linn of Niles and Mindi Wright of Niles; great-granddaughter, Madison Linn of Niles; five step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Verdonna Proud of Niles; two brothers, Larry Stewart of Niles and Jerry Stewart of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Stewart, who died May 6, 2006; and a sister, Sarah Frances Proud, who died Dec. 17, 1996.

The family will gather privately for services at a later date.
