To the editor:

As a county prosecutor I know how important it is that we have legislators who will stand up for the rights of crime victims and public safety in general.

And that is why I enthusiastically endorse Sharon Tyler to serve in the Michigan House of Representatives on our behalf.

I have found Rep. Tyler and her staff to be extremely responsive and cooperative when it comes to law enforcement issues affecting our communities.

Whether it is Truth in Sentencing, toughening drunk driving laws or other criminal justice matters, public safety has an ally in Sharon Tyler.

She impresses me as a reasonable and fair-minded individual willing to listen and take the right action for those she represents.

In my discussions with criminal justice and law enforcement officials in Cass County and beyond, it is clear that Sharon Tyler has made a strong and positive impression.

I encourage you to cast your vote for Sharon Tyler on Nov. 2.

She makes southwest Michigan a safer place to live, work and raise our families.
