I am doing a project here in Rhode Island for my geography class and I picked your state.

The project will consist of an oral, poster and written report on Michigan.

I chose your state of Michigan. Could you please publish this letter so I can get some materials for my project from your readers?

My teacher explained that first-hand information from the readers in the state is better than information from books and computers.
