Tad Flanagan, 45

Tad Wayne Flanagan, 45, of Niles, passed away Oct. 14, 2010 at 3:25 p.m. at Lakeland Hospital, Niles. 

He was born Dec. 2, 1964 in St. Joseph to George and Rosie Flanagan. He was an active leader in 4-H for 27 years and a member for seven years. In 1986 he married Mona “Lisa” Sandoval in South Bend, Ind. Tad graduated from Galien High School and was self-employed with Supreme Clean, a power washing company. 

Surviving are his wife, Lisa Flanagan; son, Josh Flanagan; parents, George and Rosie Flanagan of Buchanan; brother, Timothy Flanagan of Fife Lake, Mich.; and many nieces, nephews.

He was a devoted son, husband, father and brother — a very loving, warm, get-to-know kind of guy. A friend to all friends, a person that would help anybody that would need at any time of the day. No job was too tough to handle for him. He will always be there in our lives and our spirits and especially our love. We will truly miss him.   

The funeral service will be Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Swem Chapel, Buchanan.  Pastor Sean Kidd of the Buchanan Christian Church will officiate. 

Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. 

Visitation was Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m., also at the chapel. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to the Berrien County Youth Fair Endowment (Home Economics Building).
