OTSEGO — Craig Zebell’s goal in the 94th minute Monday night gave Dowagiac a 4-3 double overtime win over host Otsego in Wolverine Conference soccer.

Hazen McMeeken scored a pair of goals for the Chieftains, who led 2-1 at halftime.

McMeeken scored in the 18th and 46th minutes, while Joey Pasternak had the other goal in the 24th minute.

“It was a great game,” Dowagiac coach Mike Williams said. “It really tested our mental and physical abilities. It was one of the best games we played all year.”

Jason Turner stopped 16 shots for the Chieftains, who faces 23 attempts from the Bulldogs.

Dowagiac got just 13 shots on goal.

The Chieftains will now host Paw Paw in their conference and regular season finale on Wednesday night.

Dowagiac will host the opening round of the Division 3 District Tournament on Monday.
