Dennis Q. Bergerson, 69, of Niles, died at 6:34 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at Lakeland Hospital in Niles.

He was born June 14, 1941 in LaPorte, Ind. to Arthur L. and Margaret C. (Hamilton) Bergerson.

He married Kathleen Barkowski in Niles. She died June 2, 2002 in Niles.

Dennis worked for Janco Composites in South Bend for 26 years. He graduated from Tekonsha High School in 1960 and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are three daughters, Tammera Bergerson of Aurora, Colo., Laurie Ann Bergerson of Longmont, Colo. Genevieve (Sean) Lewis of Littleton, Colo.; and son, Timothy Bergerson of Aurora; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his mother, Margaret C. Bergerson of Tekonsha, Mich.; a brother, Elwyn (Valerie) Bergerson of Tekonsha; and a daughter-in-law, Melody Bergerson of Byesville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur L. Bergerson, and a son, Jeffrey Bergerson.

There will be no visitation or services and cremation has taken place.

Elkhart Cremation Services in Elkhart, Ind. is entrusted with arrangements.
