Brandywine harriers split with Coloma

Host Brandywine split its Lakeland Conference cross country dual meet with Coloma on Monday.

The Bobcats won the boys’ portion of the meet 17-38, while the girls were defeated by the Comets 23-38.

Michael Robbins and Collin Mattiford finished first and second with times of 19:57 and 20:13 respectively to lead Brandywine to the win.

James Pierce finished third with a 22:56, while Evan Zacharski was fifth with a 26:20 and Arsalah Rehmar was sixth with a 29:05.

Coloma’s Rachel Tallman was the girls’ overall winner with a clocking of 24:30.

The Bobcats’ Angelika Anderson was second with a time of 24:45 and Carlie Newman fifth with a 27:00. Kelci Lockwood was eighth (29:33) and Allison Zacharski 11th (32:35).

Ali Salisbury and Megan Coleman were 12th and 13th.

Brandywine won the junior high meet 20-35.

The Bobcats’ Zach Schmidt was the overall winner with a time of 13:31. Blake Lerner took second (14:00), Alec DeJonge (15:10), James Harrell sixth (15:38), Andrew Boocher seventh (15:41), Tanner Bourdon eighth (16:06) and Joseph Hill ninth (18:37).
