Cassopolis soccer team wraps up regular season with a tie

MARCELLUS – The Cassopolis soccer team tuned up for the Lakeland Conference Tournament with a 1-1 draw with Howardsville Christian in recent action.

Blaise Suseland scored the lone Ranger goal in the 32nd minute off an assist from Rick Hayden. Cassopolis held a 1-0 advantage in the opening half.

Howardsville, which held a 22-14 advantage in shots on goal, tied the match in the 72nd minute.

In its final Lakeland regular season match, the Rangers dropped a 1-0 decision to Berrien Springs.

The only goal was scored by the Shamrocks in the 65th minute.

The Rangers outshot Berrien Springs 13-5, but could not find the back of the net.
